Solo, duo or squad matches; a league tracks placement and eliminations across several matches per round.
- •Points-based scoring is standard: placement points (e.g. 1st = 10, top 5 = decreasing points) plus 1 point per elimination

Scoring a battle royale league
Placement and eliminations both have to count, or the format rewards one strategy exclusively. A points-per-placement scale plus a point or two per elimination is the established approach, and the ratio between them determines whether your league rewards survival or aggression.
Custom lobbies with a fixed set of teams are far better than public matches for a league, because everyone faces the same field. Without them, a result depends on which random lobby you were dropped into.
Build or Zero Build
These are effectively two different games. Building is a large mechanical skill gap that takes months to close, which makes Build mode leagues hard for newer players to enter and Zero Build much more accessible.
Pick one for the season. A league that alternates is producing two tables' worth of results and combining them, which flatters whoever is strong in the mode that came up more often.
Common questions
How many games make a session?
Five or six matches per session is standard, with points accumulated across all of them. Battle royale variance is high enough that fewer than four games tells you very little about who played best.
Solos, duos or squads?
Duos is the usual league choice: it halves the roster problem compared with squads while keeping the teamwork that makes the mode interesting. Solos produce the cleanest individual rankings if that is what your league is for.
How do you run custom lobbies?
Custom match keys are needed to run private lobbies, and availability varies. If you cannot get them, running public matches with everyone queuing at the same time and scoring individually is the common fallback.
How do updates affect a season?
Substantially. Loot pool changes and map updates arrive frequently and can shift which strategies work. Note the season and patch in your league records so results from different periods are read in context.
